Last time I checked, 37 people had looked at the photo of my results. The rest of the photos I’ve uploaded recently have around 11 views or less. Is it because a picture with a whole bunch of writing is more interesting, or because people think I’m stupid (or smart) and want to check that out? It’s annoying because it’s not even a photo, it’s a screenshot. Look at my real photos, man!
Last night I drove to Northbridge, then North Sydney, then home. I don’t think I’ve ever said “fuck” unintentionally so many times. I made a few dangerous turns, almost rammed a bus, ran a red (I think it was orange, but Hannah insists it was red) light and forgot to wear my glasses. I consider myself a pretty good driver. Is all this crap just the “settling into driving alone” period?
I really like validation. People don’t validate each other enough. I don’t mean showering people with compliments but just little things that say “yes, I’ve recognised you, I appreciate you”. I like that. It feels nicer than a direct compliment.
“every killer lives next door to somebody” – someone on the TV
a killer lived on the street parallel to mine and I thought that was terrifying. imagine being that guy’s actual neighbours. I mean, the guy killed his parents and sister. that’s fucking terrifying.

I had a realisation that I find it really hard when things suddenly change. I’m really open to change, I think, but when it just happens and I’m not ready for it I never really know what to do, how to feel, how to act.

tina**: you’re tony abbott.
tony: (still standing outside) yes, yes i am.
tina: cool.

tony: (still standing outside) good night?
tina: yeah, really good. oh goodness, come in!!
tony: thanks. this is a nice house. how long have you been here?
tina: it’s becks house. they’ve been here for a little while.
tony: oh. it still… smells new.
tina: yeah.
(awkward silence)
and then his daughter came and they left. overall, i think i left a really good impression. not that i care. i mean, he’s a very nice guy, but his political views make me want to throw up a little.
*tony abbott is the federal minister for health, like, for the whole of australia. depending on how much you care about politics (i don’t at all), he’s a pretty big deal.
**god, i was tah-rashed!
